[ Another year has passed. Funny enough, doing requests for the elf kick-started Oosouji for Joshua, so for once he had it done on time. It's another empty new year in the house he once shared with the man he'd been closer to than anyone else. Another convenient excuse for a birthday. Nothing more.

He's almost convinced himself it doesn't hurt. ]

How has your time here changed you?

I dunno. I don't think it has. I think I'm the same person as I've always been.

Since September. So about four months.

In that case, I'm not surprised. That's not much time at all in this place. There's so many new people and new challenges here that you've hardly scratched the surface.

I guess that's true. But what else can this place do?

Anything it wants. It can take that which would hurt you the most, and show you it or convince you it happened. It can force you to think entirely differently. You may become friends with someone you'd have thought would be a terrible person.

We're going to have to stop them as soon as we can.

That's what people have been saying for years. What do you think we could do now that's any different than what's been done before?
