Game 036 [Action/Voice] - Once More With Feeling

[ If you happen to be celebrating the new year with some coffee or pastries or... whatever else Hanekoma feeds people at Kat's Kradle, then you might hear the sound of someone tuning a violin coming from the second story.

It starts off quite out of tune, but within a minute or two, it sounds fine. Then, Joshua starts up a piece of music: fast-paced, somewhat frantic, somewhat chaotic, without chorus or verse, but it has an overall feel to it of life, of progress, of change.

Or maybe you just missed the whole performance.

Either way, a little later, the following goes out over the journal. ]

Why do you want to go home? [ And then, after a short pause, ]

Why do you want to stay?

[Just like the few times they've talked in the past over the journals, it's one of those questions. She must not mind it much, though. Considering she still answers.]

Home? There's something I [need, it's on the tip of her tongue but something in her stomach twists and is that really the truth?] ...want.

[Celebrating with coffee and pastries sounds good right about now. Which is why one Neku Sakuraba is wandering into the cafe. And it's probably somewhere in the middle of Joshua's little performance there.

As soon as Neku walks in he pauses once he catches the sound. So... it was a violin after all? Huh.]

[Man this guy pisses her off. She's not really sure if it's the questions - though she doesn't have an association for them, this sort of leading ridiculousness bugs the shit out of her - or the hair. It's probably at least in part the hair.

[ Sanae's just down the hall when Josh begins to play, and he doesn't seem to realize what he's hearing at first. The tune is familiar, too much so to register sharply enough to grab his attention -- the guy is thoroughly locked into artist mode, concept sketches sprawled out around him on the bed and a sketchbook propped up on one raised knee.

When he recognizes what he's hearing, he nearly drops the pencil, startled and excited in equal parts. A moment later, there are footsteps down the hall and the presence of an Angel outside Joshua's bedroom door; Josh has an audience. ]
