Given the nature of time here in relation to our own worlds, would you say that birthdays here even have a point? You lose any time you spend here when you go home, and possibly regain it if you return, so it the end it arguably doesn't exist in any permanent capacity. But it's still time that you've lived and experience that you've gained.

As far as we know, if you leave this place, you're returned to where and when you're taken from. So no matter how much time you spend here, when you go back home, you'll suddenly be 15 again.

I guess it depends on if I remember this place when I go home. If I don't, then it's not going to matter at all. If I do remember this place, I'll be 15 again, but I'll be a wiser and maybe more mature 15.

So even if you remember, you'd say you're only 15, even though you'd have the memories of more years here?

On the whole, I think it'd be a lot less confusing for everyone involved.

That seems like it should make you less than a year old here now, because it's been that long since you appeared in this world.

Except I don't remember any of that. When I was here last time, Vyse said I was fighting the Fire Nation still. I'm a bit past that now, but I don't know anything about the time I was in Luceti. So as far as I'm concerned, I don't think it counts.

Do you also remember the first years of your life? Humans tend not to remember anything until they're a few years old, but those years get counted. When does it matter, and where does it stop mattering?
