[ While leaving out a mug of coffee, mostly-filled, might seem to be a weird thing to do in remembrance, regardless it's what Joshua does as he goes about cleaning the downstairs floor of his house, the space previously known as Kat's Kradle.

Without any real reason to keep more than the cooking area clean, he hadn't. Dust coats many of the tables and forms sometimes-impressive piles in the corners. Today, despite the rain, Joshua has the front door of House 38 wide open, and he can occasionally be seen sweeping piles of dirt outside.

It's rather cold, but Joshua doesn't seem to mind it. At least it's keeping him from working up a sweat. It's a bit late for a new year cleaning, but at least he's getting around to it at all, right?

Every so often he takes breaks to check on his journal, which he left the following question on earlier in the day: ]

How many of you learned things here that you're not looking forward to having to learn again when you go back to your own worlds? I have a hood. [Yep, he's wearing a hoodie. Which is dark purple might I add. But it wasn't that far of a walk over here so he didn't bother with an umbrella. He shrugs.] It's just a walk.

[ But he is going to the back where he left his umbrella.

Red is passion. [ A pause, and then he giggles again. ] I suppose it would work, too.

[ And then he is unlocking the front door and stepping out into the rain. ]

...I guess that makes sense, though. If red is passion.

Yeah. I think you just like the attention, though.

Mmm, it could be.

So, why the walk?

[And to get you out of that house. It was kind of depressing.]

[ He was cleaning thank you very much. ]

[But it was emo cleaning.]

[ Pause pause. Giggle. ]

[ More giggles. ]

[Neku can tolerate the giggles for once. Just as long as you're not all emo for the moment.

[ Well if Neku didn't want him emo, he shouldn't have asked about the Sensitive Topics (tm).

And he'll even get quiet Josh. For the moment. He's going to start complaining about the mud on his shoes soon enough, though.

Joshua gives a soft little sound of annoyance. ]

This mud is disgusting.

It'll wash off.

It will stain. Besides, the downstairs of the house is still dirty enough that I don't want to wake my shoes off at the door. Now I'll have to or I'll be tracking mud inside.
