I'm fairly used to occurances others find bizarre, hence why I emphasized the subjective nature of normality.

Fair enough. I find it simpler to listen to the points of view of others while maintaining one's own views separately.

Indeed. No two people have the exact same perspective. There are some things which, when asked of multiple people, would form a similar opinion; those of lesser individuality might then accept it as their own, as "normal", regardless of what they felt before. Others just accept that their opinions are different.
