Given the nature of time here in relation to our own worlds, would you say that birthdays here even have a point? You lose any time you spend here when you go home, and possibly regain it if you return, so it the end it arguably doesn't exist in any permanent capacity. But it's still time that you've lived and experience that you've gained.

We have those words, but I'd venture to guess the things they refer to are very different. For instance, collars don't bite. They're not animate.

Then what are collars and slaves like in your world? Is there a master or owner, as well?

Different slaves have different purposes. Combat or working around the house. So yeah, there's a master. The collars are designed to make a blood contract so that the collar has to hear the master's voice every forty-eight hours or it will explode.

It's not something I'd wish for anyone. People selling people is just wrong.
