Game 019 [Voice] - There's a Pun in Here...

With so many people suddenly dying, I was wondering: what's it like to die here, where death isn't permanent? If you've died back in your home world, what's the afterlife like where you're from?

And even if you haven't, does death seem less important, does it carry less weight here than it did back home?

Can't say I've experienced death [not his own, anyway] but I can tell you this. In my world, whatever is believed the most strongly is what is reality. If you believe in a Heaven/Hell scenario, it exists. If you believe there is no afterlife, that exists - or rather, doesn't.

Both beliefs are still valid. If one believes in an afterlife and one in a different sort of afterlife, they will both exist.

Yes. Thought and belief are what shape my world. Rumors become true, folk remedies work, and so on. ...Of course, there are a few limitations.

...I'd need an example. [He's totally not used to this kind of logic.]

The stronger belief would take precedence. If, for example, the first had successfully used the weapon before, it would likely still succeed. If the second had survived many attacks with such weapons, they would likely live. If the two had equal belief... [He pauses there. That's kind of a new one to him.] ...I don't know what would happen. It's never come up.

Yes. Willpower is another factor; in my world, anyone can alter the world by sheer concentration. One with less belief but a much stronger will may very well succeed against the inverse, but only in the short term.

Very. My powers still seem to work although the world remains frustratingly stable. It's unnerving.

I find that hard to believe. A reality this fixed is unnatural.

It hasn't seemed to come up in conversation. [Not that he's much for conversation usually.]

Hm. Such strange worlds others must come from then. How does the supernatural function?
