Game 019 [Voice] - There's a Pun in Here...

With so many people suddenly dying, I was wondering: what's it like to die here, where death isn't permanent? If you've died back in your home world, what's the afterlife like where you're from?

And even if you haven't, does death seem less important, does it carry less weight here than it did back home?

More like no one knows for sure. Different cultures, different beliefs, that kind of shit. And the one who does know won't give any details. All I know is that you die, then you get reincarnated eventually.

Death. For obvious reasons.

Well, what the hell do you expect from a skeleton in a cloak, with a bloody huge, razor sharp scythe? He's...okay, all things considered. Not the best kind of conversationalist there is, not that you can really blame him. Guy's never really taken a day off either, but I figure if he did the world would get messed up fast.

He's there for humans. [And gods, but Oswald's not going to say that.] I don't know about animals or stuff. He's busy enough as it is with just people.

He's there to help people realize they're dead, and he guides them to their afterlife, whatever it may be.

Doesn't happen immediately, but they do. Sooner or later, anyway.

I've known Death for a pretty long time. And when you've been around as long as I have, you pick up stuff some of the more less-known details about the world.

Eh, I met him on the job. It's not exactly easy to avoid him if you can see him and if you lead a more adventurous lifestyle either.

It's not as if most people want to see him, so they don't. A few might see him say, right before they die, but otherwise normal people shouldn't be able to see him.

I deal with a lot of dying. And I'm the same sort of being as Death, anyway. It wouldn't make sense not being able to see him.

[Now is a very good time to lie. Or half-truth, anyway.]

Not if I don't want to.

Not that I want to any time soon, but yes.
