Game 044 [Action] Backdated to the 17th - Missing a Safety Net
[ It was an average day of grocery shopping. At least, until the world spun and Joshua's feet nearly collapsed underneath him.
Now he's stumbling his way towards House 38, the groceries abandoned behind him. Blood drips from the corner of his mouth, and every so often he doubles over coughing, clutching his stomach like he might throw up. Slowly, very slowly, red stains are appearing on his back as he goes onwards.
Shibuya withdrawal, exactly six months after his de-Ascension. ]
Not now..

Hey, wait!
[Thinking that Joshua has been attacked by someone, he approaches him briskly. The flash of blood red is a source of immediate alarm, though, and Tsuzuki grabs a hold of his elbow as if he's worried he'll topple.]

dsfkjsdgjk LJ WHY DON'T YOU SEND ME NOTIFS
Are you sick?
no subject
Just... [ And then Joshua coughs a few more times. ] ... home...

[The coughing sounds awful. Remembering how Joshua helped him when Muraki cornered him, Tsuzuki lifts him up and begins to briskly walk back to 49.]
Hang in there.

Put me down. [ He's coughing a moment later. ]
no subject
Don't do that, you'll make yourself worse.

In which case, I hope you're ready for pain, Tsuzuki. Because the moment he takes even a single step through the doorway, Joshua's power explodes outwards in a completely uncontrolled blast. It's weaker than anything he'd be able to pull off under normal circumstances, but to someone pressed right against him, it's plenty to knock the wind out of him, if not straight-up knock him out.
Also the doorframe is probably going to get pretty damaged, sorry about that, only not. ]
WHY CAN'T I HTML RIGHT
[He flaps his wings uselessly, realizing that Joshua managed to injure one. That's the pain in his back. He can guess what that warm wetness on his back is.]
[Tsuzuki touches Joshua tentatively, to see if he got injured in the horribly surprising blast.]
A....re you... hurt?
Because HTML is a poopie-head
[ He's way too close to panicking, hell, he's panicking already, and he doesn't like panicking. Joshua is already pulling himself unsteadily to his feet. The feeling of his shirt sticking to his back tells him that that little stunt did nothing to help his withdrawal, and he just wants to be home. Hell, he'd teleport if he had any confidence of actually managing to land in the building; despite his proximity he doubts he can manage it like this.
He coughs again and blood falls to the ground, but Joshua ignores it and struggles onwards. Care to try stopping him again, Tsuzuki? ]
it seriously is. Case in point. Grrr.
[He sits quietly as the blood stops running down his back, and air begins to flow into his lungs. It's not a moment too soon. He gulps it down, hoping the burning sensation will stop soon.]
[He places a hand on Joshua's shoulder, not even noticing the doorframe behind them. What matters now is Joshua, who's looking horrible. The blood is making Tsuzuki want to call out to Hisoka or Link, to hurry and help him take Joshua to a hospital.]
Don't be scared.
XD /patpat
[ It's a lie and he doesn't care. He tries to shrug Tsuzuki's hand off of him, holding down a cough as he does so.
He just wants to be in a place where he's willing to lie down and rest and not dealing with people he doesn't want getting close to him. ]
Just let me go home.
SO. I heard you guys wanted a threadjack.
What the hell are you two doing?
fancy seeing you here. :3
Joshua's hurt!
oh man it's a person!
I was just about to go home, thank you.
[ His body shakes a couple times as he less-than-successfully holds down some coughing, and then Joshua is back to trying to stumble towards home again. ]
/is indeed a person!
We found one! Quick, get the butterfly net!
Sorry about the door, Hisoka.
Way ahead of you! /holds one up and hands over a second
Hisoka, I am going home.
[ And Tsuzuki be damned he is going to try to shake Hisoka off of him. He's not in full control of himself by a long shot, so Hisoka is probably getting a nice smattering of the anger, frustration, nausea, panic, and homesickness.
His tone is a warning. ]
... you guys are weird. o.o
It's for your own good you stubborn mule.
[Despite the nausea, he keeps his grip firm and steady. He assumes Tsuzuki will understand the door's a nonissue by his nonmention of it.]
You can't get to the home you want to go to. You know that, right? And it's a dumbassed idea to let you be by yourself when you've obviously just been getting worse.
muahaha
Do you think he has blood in his lungs?
/tries to catch the person in the butterfly net!
There's only a few seconds for the indignation to build, and then the floodgates are open. More than a year and a half's worth of agony, homesickness, what it feels like to be torn from your purpose in life and trapped away from the other half of your very being, straight outwards for the unguarded empath to receive. A separation so wrong and unnatural that it manifested physically. Knowing what your role was and having that ripped away, all the rules broken, the city that Joshua nearly singlehandedly raised to the status it had achieved now possibly falling apart while he could do nothing to save it, or even touch it. Everything that Joshua had held inside him since the day he arrived, wanting nothing more than to just go back home. The homesickness that before now, only Hanekoma had known even a fraction of.
Then he turns on Tsuzuki. ]
This is your only warning. Let me go or I'll shoot you.
/Caught! :O
[And then Joshua lets go. It's like a sudden riptide, a wave of emotion that smacks into Hisoka's bead and pulls him under. He tries to scream and block himself off, but he's not sure where his mouth's gotten buried under the despair, the anguish.
He clutches at his head, sobbing heavily and rocking back and forth on his knees.]
I just wanna go home--can't stay here--need my city--city needs me--
/cheers! 1/2
HISOKA!
2/2
[It's impossible to give Joshua his whole attention while Hisoka is whimpering like that. Tsuzuki anxiously puts himself between the two, staring down at the injured man as if he had just sprouted horns.]
Shoot me, I don't care. Just stop hurting him!
YAY! Should I give it a nickname? :|a
I warned him.
[ Tsuzuki being concerned with Hisoka means he's letting Joshua go now, right? Him being between Joshua and Hisoka means he's not going to stop Joshua from walking off, right? Joshua can go now, right? ]
Provided it's an awesome one.
I know. Muffinbutt!
Hmm... I like it! :D
Linn what is your obsession with that name. :|
