[Okay. Okay, Shiki knew she wasn't being fair. She knew she wasn't actually doing anyone any favors by avoiding the conversation. But she also knew that there was absolutely no way this was going to end well.

She found herself outside of the old Kat's Kradle, staring at the house quietly for a few minutes trying to get herself to just knock on the door. Instead, she found it easier to just let herself in and step inside. Here goes nothing.]

Joshua? Are you home?

[ Hmm. A visitor. Joshua didn't get too many of those. He paused in his painting and called out, loud enough to be heard downstairs. ]

Yes I am, in fact.

[so_shik]

...tell me you're dressed at least. [And she's heading up those stairs, clutching Mr. Mew a little tighter than usual.]

If I weren't, would it stop you?

[ But he is, though both shirt and pants are a bit worn. Also dotted with paint splatters, but that's why he's wearing the old clothes. ]

At this point probably not. [And she's upstairs now, following the sound of his voice and entering the room he's in. She's not going to say anything else just yet though, examining what he's doing to get a gauge on his mood.]

[Well, it's been nearly a week now since Neku had got all his memories back. Getting them back seemed to be making things even more complicated, on top of how awkward things have been. He knew he'd need to go see Josh eventually, but he kept putting it off for a few days. Mostly due to the fact Neku was still trying cope with it all.

Friday afternoon is when Neku finally got himself to go over to House 38 to check on him. Not even bothering to knock Neku lets himself in once he gets there.]

Josh?

[neverplaysfair]

Hmm?

[ He's used to at least a knock, but the voice from downstairs doesn't startle him too much. ]

Neku?

[soundfrequency]

[Neku doesn't answer back right away. A few moments later he'll be appearing in Joshua's doorway instead.]

Er... hey.

[neverplaysfair]

Yes? [ He puts down the paintbrush he hadn't made a single line with since he'd heard the voice. ]

[soundfrequency]

[He's just going to get to the point here.]

I got my memory back. All of it.

[Action, sometime the week of April 2nd] /abandons creativity and just gets this out

[cynicism]

[Sup Josh. There's a Reaper!Hisoka hanging out around the edge of town square, stylized black wings extended for warmth in the afternoon sun. He's just kind of hanging out for the hell of it. Reminds him of being at work.]

[Action]

[ ... What.

What.

What is this.

Excuse him Hisoka but your (?) boss is going to be walking over, eyes fixed on your wings. What is this he doesn't even. ]

[He snaps to attention at Joshua's approach, lounging much less casually.]

...Afternoon.

[He eyes Joshua carefully. Is this a test?]

The sun came up today and we're all still here?

[Action, February 2nd.]

[cynicism]

[As much as he'd like to deny it, Joshua's house is a safe haven. It's a place where a knowledgeable person tends to be okay with keeping secrets and handling no-questions-asked emergencies. And that's exactly why Hisoka's come here today, slipping into Joshua's house and curling up on his sofa.

He's just here to rest, It's been a long walk from his own house to get here. Joshua won't care if he takes a minute to catch his breath.]

[Action, February 2nd.]

[ Joshua hears the sound of something making noise downstairs, so within a few minutes, he is down the stairs. ]

... Feel free to make yourself comfortable.

[Action, February 2nd.]

[cynicism]

[Oh, that sound was probably the coughing. Hisoka's breathing hasn't been stellar in the last week or so. And since he was attempting to move today, everything was a bit of a disaster. He grimaces when Joshua returns downstairs, giving him a bleary stare.]

...Won't be here long. Just. Need a minute, okay?

[Action, February 2nd.]

What are you doing near the center of the village in this state?

[Action, February 2nd.]

[cynicism]

Trying. [Nope that sentence isn't getting out without some hacking.] T--trying to. .. Library. I can make it. Gonna be fine.

[Action, sometime around late August]

[cynicism]

[It's shortly after the event has ended, and Hisoka's made a conscious decision not to replace his missing bandages. He's still heavily scarred, obviously burned, but he's healed enough that moving about town isn't impossible. And that means checking on the whereabouts of certain people.

Hisoka doesn't bother knocking or calling ahead when he intrudes on Joshua's living space. He's not completely sure Joshua's even still in Luceti. It would be just like the jerk to run back home after Hisoka was away.

So just. Home invading. Hope you don't mind, Josh.]

[ Mind? If Joshua minded, he'd lock the door.

If Joshua's left, the building hasn't repaired the torn down wall in his absence. Or gotten rid of the murals on the outside of the house.

Soon after Hisoka enters though, there happens to be the tumble-thud of things falling over from upstairs. Joshua happens to be rearranging stuff after the experiment disrupted his collection of paintings. He also dropped some things. But there is very much someone else in the house. ]

[cynicism]

[Welp. That sure is a sign. Hisoka'll just direct his nosiness upstairs then.]

Since when are you this clumsy?

[neverplaysfair]

[ ... ... ... ]

Hisoka?

[ A couple seconds later, Joshua pokes his head out from the top of the stairs to look. Dude you like never show up here ever, who's dying? ]

[cynicism]

[Not him this time! Not that you'd know it from the look of him, but hey.]

Sorry. Am I interrupting something?
