Maybe they don't like people who are too loud, or too quiet, or too curious, or too aloof. You've never met someone you wouldn't think of as your friend?

Well .. there were some that I weren't friends with when I first met them but became friends with later.

Gary. And Paul too. Gary was always one step ahead of me and I didn't like how Paul treated his Pokemon. But later I became friends with 'em.

But why not? They may be jerks but even they should have someone to support them. And sometimes they aren't jerks when y' get t' know 'em better.
