Game 035 [Action] - Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart
[ If you're up and about late, late on the border of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, you might happen to catch Joshua making his way from the plaza towards Community Housing 5, holding what on closer inspection reveals itself to be a violin case. He's rather under-dressed, especially considering the snow is picking up, but he doesn't seem to mind much at all.
A little later, you can find him on top of Community Housing 5, sans violin case. He's just sitting in the snow, staring up at the stars that occasionally peek through the clouds. ]

I went to the trouble of making cake. Think you could humor me for a few minutes, at least? Then I'll be outta your hair.

You made a Christmas cake?

I gave it a shot. It's not like we don't have time to kill, here.

[ But he raises little protest at 'boyfriend'. ]

[ He offers Josh one of the forks, plate of cake held between them. ]

[ It's not said hesitantly or to gauge a reaction; he knows very well that that isn't what they have. Sanae takes a forkful of cake and moves a bit closer to Joshua as he eats it, less able to ignore the cold. The coat he's got on helps, but not entirely. ]

[ He has another forkful of cake and moves closer still, his hip and arm touching Joshua's, but it's only for warmth. Sanae would bitch about the cold if he didn't consider it a victory just to get out here and get Josh eating cake in the first place; no reason to be the one to ruin it. ]

Still mind me ruinin' the mood? I've got something waiting for you back home, if you don't mind giving up on the brooding entirely.

[ He lies backwards on the snow, completely ignoring the wetness that now begins to seep into the back of his shirt and onto his skin and feathers. ] I need to get my fill of stargazing while I still have the chance. I wouldn't call it brooding.

[ Sanae shuffles his small white wings beneath the jacket, sets down the cake so he can hide his hands in his sleeves. He's grinning. ]
It's a pretty nice present.

It's not what I'm hoping for, is it? [ There's no hurt in his voice ]

[ There's no apology in his. ]
More of what you need than what you want.

Like I said, more of what you need.

I think I'll stay here. [ But it's not cold that's in his voice. It's tinges of hurt and nostalgia. ]

You haven't slept in weeks.
