[ Early morning (locked to Tsuzuki) ]

[ The best part of waking up in a body that isn't yours is finding out the company said body keeps when it sleeps. Which is why the first thing that Joshua notices, upon waking up in a place which is distinctly not House 38, is the other person in bed with him. ]

... I think I missed something.


[ And after that fun little interaction resolves itself, Joshua picks up the journal and reaches out to the person it might be a bit important to contact about this. ]

[ 100% filtered to Joshua and Hisoka because he isn't quite sure which is the necessary one in this sort of situation ]

I do hope that my body is over there with you.


[ Morning onwards, open ]

[ Joshua and Hisoka are wandering around town together. But to anyone who knows them, something seems odd... ]


It's rather hard to believe that you wouldn't have any way to make mental defenses.

[ Joshua giggles. ] It's a date, then.

[As he wakes up, Tsuzuki's sleepiness gives way to warm surprise. He and Hisoka doesn't normally go to bed together, but sometimes they do end up sleeping in the same one after a few hours, because sometimes you just need someone who understands. He must've had nightmares again. Tsuzuki strokes Joshua's hair absentmindedly, as if he's trying to tell him that it's okay.]

Hmm?

[ Meanwhile Joshua is remembering drunken conversations and wondering if Hisoka actually did cave that quickly.

ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT. ]

What happened last night?

[It's an unspoken rule not to talk about Those Nightmares, since Muraki is bad and talking about him only makes them both feel terrible. Tsuzuki's wings stretch behind him, as he's on his slow road to waking up. The more present he becomes the more bittersweet his emotions gets.]

I don't remember. Why?

[Oh hey, speaking of sleep! Tsuzuki hadn't expected Hisoka to visit, so he was sleeping in just his undies. Feeling embarrassed, he sits up and puts on a shirt.]

[ That, my good sir, is all very incriminating. ]

Because this might be an important question to answer.

[That earns him a dose of Tsuzuki's ever latent-guilt, now blossoming into something a bit more obvious. He shrugs with one shoulder, not sure what knid of games is being played.]

There was dinner, and then we played card games and cuddled with Cake.

...Are you okay?

I see. So he didn't sleep with you?

[His wings flare out in shock.]

What? Who?

Hisoka.

[Tsuzuki tenses up, his whole body language changing from harmless to defensive. Disregarding that he's not clothed, ignoring everything but what was said, really, Tsuzuki responds quickly, grabbing Joshua's wrist and dragging him down on the bed.]

Who are you? Where is he?

[action]

[neverplaysfair]

[ The anger that hits him when Tsuzuki grabs him catches Josh by surprise, but it only takes a couple seconds for him to push it to the side beneath his own emotions. Joshua looks up at Tsuzuki and giggles. Do you recognize this giggle? ]

If I had to guess, there's a good chance that he's in my body. Good morning, Tsuzuki, Joshua speaking.

[It's so weird to see Hisoka giggle. It just doesn't seem real, since it makes him look like a completely different person. Tsuzuki shakes his head, releasing Joshua's wrist and feeling uneasy.]

Joshua? How long have you -- Is it Malnosso doing things again?

Since I woke up, at least. Considering how lively things have been the past few days [ and also the fact that he is distinctly sure that he spent the last few days with Shibuya within him again ] I don't doubt it. I certainly didn't do anything to initiate this.
