[ Day 6 ]

[ Early morning (locked to Tsuzuki) ]

[ The best part of waking up in a body that isn't yours is finding out the company said body keeps when it sleeps. Which is why the first thing that Joshua notices, upon waking up in a place which is distinctly not House 38, is the other person in bed with him. ]

... I think I missed something.

[ And after that fun little interaction resolves itself, Joshua picks up the journal and reaches out to the person it might be a bit important to contact about this. ]

[ 100% filtered to Joshua and Hisoka because he isn't quite sure which is the necessary one in this sort of situation ]

I do hope that my body is over there with you.

[ Morning onwards, open ]

[ Joshua and Hisoka are wandering around town together. But to anyone who knows them, something seems odd... ]

It's rather hard to believe that you wouldn't have any way to make mental defenses.

[ Feel free to run into the two of them. Clearly they want to be bothered. ~~At least I'm sure Hisoka does, since he isn't the one with the headache for once.~~ ]

[Tsuzuki tenses up, his whole body language changing from harmless to defensive. Disregarding that he's not clothed, ignoring everything but what was said, really, Tsuzuki responds quickly, grabbing Joshua's wrist and dragging him down on the bed.]

Who are you? Where is he?

[ The anger that hits him when Tsuzuki grabs him catches Josh by surprise, but it only takes a couple seconds for him to push it to the side beneath his own emotions. Joshua looks up at Tsuzuki and giggles. Do you recognize this giggle? ]

If I had to guess, there's a good chance that he's in my body. Good morning, Tsuzuki, Joshua speaking.

[It's so weird to see Hisoka giggle. It just doesn't seem real, since it makes him look like a completely different person. Tsuzuki shakes his head, releasing Joshua's wrist and feeling uneasy.]

Joshua? How long have you -- Is it Malnosso doing things again?

Since I woke up, at least. Considering how lively things have been the past few days [ and also the fact that he is distinctly sure that he spent the last few days with Shibuya within him again ] I don't doubt it. I certainly didn't do anything to initiate this.

[That makes sense. Or rather, it doesn't make sense, which means that it's just a normal Luceti occurrence. He scratches the back of his neck.]

Sorry about grabbing you. I-- well, er. I thought it was a possession.

... Are those common in your world?

It's not that they're common. But they aren't rare enough, either.

[A nasty feeling creeps up his spine at the thought. Without Hisoka he'd be walking around with one of those still inside his head. He takes a deep breath.]

Come on, let's have breakfast.

Alright. What breakfast?

[ He picks up on that unease, but doesn't think much of it. Admittedly Joshua should probably be a bit more uncomfortable with being in someone else's body, but this is how Luceti rolls. ]

I can make cheese omelets and toast? You know, just something easy. I don't want to keep Hisoka waiting.

[He offers him a hand.]

Mmm, sounds good to me. I can contact him while you make it.

[ Joshua accepts that hand! He's going to try to get used to this contact = emotion thing. ]

[If he grips his hand, Joshua may notice that undeniable fondness that Tsuzuki's never been good at hiding. Even if he knows that Hisoka's not in his body, it still looks like him. It's an old habit.]

That sounds great! Do you have any idea where he might be?

[Oh Joshua, didn't Hisoka warn him about Tsuzuki's cooking?]

[ ... Hmm. Emotions. ]

House 38, perhaps?

[ Nope! Blissful ignorance, this one. ]

[Enjoy it while it lasts. One of Hisoka's frequent complains is that Tsuzuki's emotions become too much after a while.]

Should we go over there and check afterwards?

[It's a good thing that Hisoka's body is good at regenerating itself, then. Food poisoning won't kill him. :D]

Let's see if I can contact him by journal before anything else. After all, that's quite a distance from here, isn't it?

[ ... That sounds slightly ominous. :| ]

Wait, before we do that. Can you do this?

[He points to his own face, grinning widely.]

[ Joshua pauses for a moment, then giggles. ]

I don't know. Considering this is Hisoka's face, I may very well break it in half. And we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?

Yes, it would be a terrible shame.

On the other hand, it would probably grow back. [ So here you go, Tsuzuki. Joshua's biggest grin. ]

[Tsuzuki can't remember ever seeing that before. It's both a real joy and a bit sad to think about. He returns the grin, unable to stop himself from ruffling his hair playfully.] You're the best, Joshua.

Come on, let's see if anyone's in the kitchen!

[ Joshua jumps just a little at the hair ruffling, but mostly because he still wasn't expecting the emotions that came with the contact. Still, he shrugs it off and follows Tsuzuki. ]

Who else lives here?

[Remembering how touchy Hisoka had been when they first met, Tsuzuki vows not to touch Joshua too much. It's probably not that easy to deal with.]

A lot of people have gone home lately...Right now I think it's only Draco and the animals.

Draco, hmm? And how is that going?

[Tsuzuki's face betrays that he had completely forgotten that he mention the 'Hisoka and Draco" problem to Joshua while he was drunk. Well, until now that is.]

It --er-- I suppose it goes as well as you'd expect it to.

[ Poor Tsuzuki. Joshua has a good memory for these things. ]

And yet you're the one Hisoka went to last night.

[It's so weird to see Hisoka's face say that.]
