Game 008 [Action] - Not Just As Planned

[ In the early morning hours, standing roughly between buildings 36, 38, and 39, is a somewhat unfamiliar figure. Maybe you recognize those rainbow wings. Maybe that hair style and color looks awfully familiar. Maybe you can't see at all, what with it being really freaking early and still dark out.

But one thing's pretty clear: the figure standing there isn't a teen. He's an adult.

He raises his hands and closes his eyes. After a moment, he starts mumbling to himself. He didn't see anyone close enough around to hear him, but if you happen to, you might notice the translation keeps slipping. ]

... stablishing li... wer. Release con... cessitates spa... ting. Beginning scan.

CRACK!

[ A noise, loud enough to give you the feeling of being hit in the chest if you're reasonably close, echoes loudly around the village. Feel free to be woken up, investigate, whatever. If you manage to locate its source, you'll find an adult Joshua kneeling on the ground, clutching his head in pain. ]

[ He glances towards Ruca. ] I'm- [ And he gives a soft growl as his head throbs again ] ... fine.

No, that's... alright. [ He winces. ] It'll pass.

Yes. [ As another pained noise slips out, and he sways, just a little. ] I don't need help.

[meep] I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you it looked like you needed help- and I- and -erm.

[ He winces again. ] It'll pass in a few minutes. I don't need any help.

[ Joshua why do you feel the need to do this right outside Hanekoma's house? It isn't long before the guy shows up outside, hair mussed from sleep, halfway through pulling on his jacket, and actually looking pretty srsbzns for once. He'll just sort of stalk around the area, not having seen or sensed Joshua yet. ]

[ It's not his fault you happened to pick a house that was right next to ~The Center~ of this place. Also pain. ]

[ Yeah, yeah, he'll just keep hanging around trying to take stock of the situation, and -- he senses Joshua before he sees him, really. Even with Luceti dimming everything, he knows Josh's vibe like the back of his hand; will be running on over, honestly startled. ] Joshua? What--?

[ The familiar voice is a bit of a relief, honestly. He groans softly and lifts his gaze to stare at Sanae. ] They've done something here.

[ Hell with that, Sanae's busy being concerned. He'll just take Joshua by the arm and attempt to help him back to feet. ] We'll discuss that later. You alright?

Fine- [ Oh, don't make him stand up right now, that's just gonna make his head swim. He sways and quickly braces himself against Hanekoma, gripping his head. ] Nngh...

[ Whoa, alright, Hanekoma will catch Joshua as best he can stop being taller than him already and just keep still. It's been a while since he last saw Joshua hurt, and he does not like it. ] I'm getting you back to my place. Or the clinic. [ But for now he'll just stand. ]

It'll pass. [ Joshua rubs his head again with a soft groan. ] I'm fine.

Still. [ He looks Joshua over, a bit more relaxed now but still with concern in his voice. ] You get attacked or somethin'?

No. [ And he hesitates, because this is admitting his own weakness as well. But this is Sanae he's talking to. ] I tried to claim it, and failed.

[And Kyon despite supposedly being the smart one goes looking for the source of all that noise.]

[ For the sake of continuity Josh has already been dragged off to Hanekoma's place, but since there's *~snow on the ground~*, their tracks are still visible. Not to mention all the snow that was blown away from Josh during his attempt, leaving a neat little (and kind of obvious) snow crater. ]
