Game 008 [Action] - Not Just As Planned

[ In the early morning hours, standing roughly between buildings 36, 38, and 39, is a somewhat unfamiliar figure. Maybe you recognize those rainbow wings. Maybe that hair style and color looks awfully familiar. Maybe you can't see at all, what with it being really freaking early and still dark out.

But one thing's pretty clear: the figure standing there isn't a teen. He's an adult.

He raises his hands and closes his eyes. After a moment, he starts mumbling to himself. He didn't see anyone close enough around to hear him, but if you happen to, you might notice the translation keeps slipping. ]

... stablishing li... wer. Release con... cessitates spa... ting. Beginning scan.

CRACK!

[ A noise, loud enough to give you the feeling of being hit in the chest if you're reasonably close, echoes loudly around the village. Feel free to be woken up, investigate, whatever. If you manage to locate its source, you'll find an adult Joshua kneeling on the ground, clutching his head in pain. ]

Shit.

It's just that if folks show up here, they might notice a very non-teenage Joshua crouched in the snow suffering intense pain. Does raise a few questions.

[ Josh gives a small snort. ] That's why I did it at night.

[ you get a little exasperated sigh in response. ] So d'you want me to leave you here, or what?

[ Joshua gives a soft snort, but he doesn't bother with a reply for that. Instead he just shifts a bit of his weight off Sanae, seeing if his legs can hold him up. ]

[ Hanekoma loops an arm around his shoulders and watches Joshua try. ] If you can manage to go younger, that'll help.

... It takes too much effort here. [ Meaning if he tries right now, he probably will pass out. ]

Fair enough. Come on. [ This would be so much easier if Josh were still shorter than him. Nevertheless, Hanekoma catches at Joshua's arm and pulls it around his shoulders. ] Alright?

[ Considering his head is only in throbbing pain now, rather than the screaming pain of a few minutes ago, yes, he is rather alright. He lets Sanae help him along, regardless. ]

Tell me if you need to stop for a breather. [ Sanae'll just keep Joshua's weight on his shoulder and make his way slowly through the snow. ]

... [ He's not tired, really. His head just hurts. But the shoulder to lean on is nice. ]

[ Hanekoma, on the other hand, wouldn't mind a break. But his house isn't exactly far, and he manages to get the front door open without too much trouble. They are greeted by warmth -- or at least an absence of snow and ice. ]

[ That feels... really nice. Joshua gives a soft sigh, quickly moving to sit down on the couch. ] I forgot how much smaller the world gets.

[ And he'll go to make himself some coffee, regardless of the hour. ] What d'you mean?

[ He starts rubbing small circles on his head to tease away the headache. ] When I don't limit myself.

I think I know the feeling. Coffee?

... No thanks. [ It's like you want his headache to get worse. ]

[ Don't be ridiculous, coffee cures everything. Sanae's shrugs and pops some beans into his mouth because That Is What He Does. ] Really, I tend to see it the other way round. Without limits, there's more to feel.

But it's all there. When I'm limited, I have to reach for it. [ And Joshua is used to Sanae eating coffee beans by now, strange as it is. ]
