Game 021 [Action] - Happy Six-Month Anniversary. Sucker.

[ Joshua has been running a few errands today. Maybe you've seen him traversing the main area of the village. Now he's left the plaza and was about to reach the nothernmost bridge when he suddenly collapses.

He's awake when he hits the ground, and within moments, is doubled over, clutching his stomach. Within a minute, he's audibly suppressing gagging noises.

Good afternoon, Luceti. Josh is getting hit with Shibuya withdrawal. ]

[He looks over at Joshua for a moment then turns to watch the path they're walking on, shoulders slumping and his arm around Joshua's waist loosens a little.]

...right.

[ Suddenly Joshua stops short. ]

My cell phone.

[soundfrequency]

You didn't pick it back up?

[...yeah he only remembers Joshua picking up his gun again.]

I sometimes forget I'm carrying it. [ He looks back over his shoulder. ] ...

[soundfrequency]

I can go back and get it really quick.

[neverplaysfair]

It'd probably be better than both of us going to get it.

[soundfrequency]

Yeah. Will you be okay right here?

[neverplaysfair]

Neku, I can keep walking by myself.

[soundfrequency]

...really.

[Nope, doesn't believe it.]

[neverplaysfair]

Really.

[ He takes a couple (vaguely unsteady) steps forwards. ] Now be a good boy and run along to fetch my phone. Hee hee.

[soundfrequency]

[Surprisingly Joshua gets a glare and that's about it, he's too emotionally worn out right now to snap back at him. He lets Joshua go then abruptly turns around and starts heading back the way they just came.]

[ Josh watches him go, and when he thinks Neku is out of earshot, gives a heavy sigh and turns as well. He slowly continues his walk back home, hoping his legs hold out at least until Neku gets back. ]

[soundfrequency]

[He runs the rest of the way over there, so it shouldn't take him too long to get there and back. Well, it wouldn't have but once Neku finds the same spot they were at he has to pause for a few minutes to feel horrible about Mr. H again. Sigh. He needs to get back to Joshua. Now to find that phone...]

[ And because mun hasn't heard otherwise the phone should be right where Hanekoma tossed it. Convenient, that. ]

[soundfrequency]

[Well, it's easy enough to spot with it being bright orange. Neku grabs it then starts heading back to catch up with Joshua.]

[ Which should also be easy enough, as he's standing still at the moment, breathing a little heavily. ]

[soundfrequency]

[...that's actually a little better than what Neku was expecting to come back to. But Neku walks back over to Josh and stands close enough just in case he needs something to lean on.]

...you okay?

[neverplaysfair]

Fine. [ The answer comes a bit too quickly, then Joshua seems to regain his composure. ] Just a little tired.

[soundfrequency]

[Siiigh. Holds out Joshua's cellphone to him.]

Here.

[neverplaysfair]

Thank you, Neku. [ He takes it and pockets it, and after a moment, starts walking again, slower than before. ]

[soundfrequency]

[And Neku will walk along side of him then, keeping a little close just in case. Joshua can hang onto him if he needs to, but Neku won't force him to for now.]

[ It doesn't take long before Joshua stops walking again. He's trying to suppress his breathing, but between that and an unusually high amount of sweating considering all they're doing is walking, it's a pretty good indicator that he's not exactly doing well right now. ]

[soundfrequency]

Josh?

[Yeeeah he's really not looking too great. Neku stops next to him again and gives him a worried look.]

I'm fine.

[ He lies. ]

[soundfrequency]

Let's just take a break for a few minutes.
