Game 013 [Voice/Action] - "Triumphant" Return

[ The feed cuts in to the sound of coughing, and a very soft ] dammit [ before Joshua speaks into the journal, his voice somewhat hoarse and higher-pitched than usual. ]

Hanekoma, come get me. [ Mostly he just sounds exhausted. ]

[ Josh is sitting against a tree on the edge of the forest, staring at the mountains off in the distance, his journal in his lap. He looks younger... 10, maybe 12 at the oldest. He's covered in burn marks and bruises, and his clothes are completely ruffled and smattered with blood stains, not to mention a bit oversized due to him not being his usual stature. There's blood-stained bandages on his arms, and more hidden beneath his clothes. In other words, he's in bad shape.

Not to mention shivering. It's cold and snowing, and he's not dressed for the weather. ]

[ Some N hours later, Joshua wakes up to a throbbing in the back of his head, and it's a few moments before he's conscious enough to register anything. ]

[ Well, after a few hours of being helpful, Hanekoma dozed off beside the guy. That power to him has leveled out to a light thrum against Joshua's side, not actively supplying energy.

So he'll just chill out here, half-asleep. ]

[ Joshua stares for a moment before shifting to rub his head. After a little bit, he pulls himself up and straddles Hanekoma, sitting a bit less-than-gently on him, his expression unamused. ]

[ Hanekoma jumps, startled awake, and stares up at the Joshua currently on top of him. He seems a bit at a loss. ]

Josh. You're up.

[ brb stating the obvious. ]

[ After a moment, he gives a soft sound and grins a little. ] I suppose you have an excuse to give me?

I said no half a dozen times, and you were still tryin' to pin me down. I figure it was justified.

[ And he shifts a little under Joshua, making a show of exasperation, but doesn't bother trying to sit up. ]

Didn't want you wearing yourself out again, either. Had to get some rest one way or another.

[ Joshua leans in. ] And you were desperate enough to harm me? I'm sure that will go over well with the higher-ups.

[ That gets a snort, and he determinedly ignores this lovely new violation of personal space. ] 'Upon his return, the Composer continued to strain himself through physical exertion, despite having sustained potentially life-threatening injuries. I was forced to subdue him.' Sound good?

...

[ This is Joshua. This is Joshua, leaning very close. This is Joshua, leaning very close, making a grab for clothes, and doing his best to get his tongue down Sanae's throat. ]

[ God-- fucking-- no, Joshua, what is it about the word 'no' that you fail to understand? This is Hanekoma, making a startled sort of noise and jolting a bit. And then fisting a hand in Joshua's hair, hard enough to hurt. ]

[ Oh, that gets a sound from Josh. But it might not be the exact sound Hanekoma was expecting. It's a deep sound, half pained... but there's something else to it, something pleased, something satisfied. And he's going to keep kissing until he wants to stop or he's pried off. ]

[ Well, he gets a bit of a growl in response. Those fingers in his hair tighten and tug -- not quite hard enough to pry him off, but certainly enough to make his point. Sanae isn't kissing back, but he isn't about to bite Josh or shove him off, either. ]

[ Joshua ignores the intention, instead pressing his lips harder against Sanae's, giving a little grind against him. ]

[ That growl becomes a snarl, and okay he'll draw the line at grinding. Just gonna yank on Josha's hair as he tries to escape, tries to turn his head away. If he weren't pinned to the bed, he'd be getting the hell out of here, thank you very much. ]

[ Though he's got a lot more strength than he had the night before, Josh can't keep his head down any longer, but it just makes the noise he gives in response to the pull all the more prominent when there isn't another mouth in the way to muffle it. ]

[ For a moment Sanae just lies there, with his head turned away and Joshua a comfortable weight on top of him. Then he unwinds his fingers from Joshua's hair, uses his hands to sit up a bit, and gives his lips a cautious lick. Still sort of deciding whether or not he should punish Joshua, should hold all that against him. ]

... I wish you'd stop doin' that.

[ When Sanae lets go, Joshua reaches up and carelessly runs a hand through his hair. ] And I wish you'd just go along with it. You know it doesn't mean anything.

[ He just shakes his head and sits up a little more, trying to get that exasperation back: ]

By now, seems like the kissing's nothing new. Might even get me to go along with it. But not further.

It all means nothing. There's no reason to stop at any arbitrarily decided point.

It's the principle of the thing, Josh. [ Sitting up a bit more sharply, and if Joshua gets jostled because of it, too bad. ] I'll say it as many times as you want. Not gonna sleep with you.

So now you're doing it just to go against what I want? [ He giggles and folds his hands behind Sanae's neck. ] Now it's a challenge.

I'm not doing it 'cause you want it, I'm doing it 'cause I don't.

[ And he gets an arm between them, trying to steadily press Joshua away. Still doing his best with that calm casual tone, here. ]

It's not like I've never had a one-night stand, Joshua, it's that I'm not interested in one with you.

[ ~~oh yeah, it's personal. :|~~ ]

[ Then that grip behind his neck will just strengthen. ]

What's wrong with little old me?

Not something I'm attracted to, that's all.

[ Pushing. Away. The hand pressing on the guy's shoulder shifts a little, finding a new spot almost directly over his heart. Dammit Josh this was so much easier when you were too weak to stand. ]

And I'd like things between us to stay just how they are.
