Game 021 [Action] - Happy Six-Month Anniversary. Sucker.

[ Joshua has been running a few errands today. Maybe you've seen him traversing the main area of the village. Now he's left the plaza and was about to reach the nothernmost bridge when he suddenly collapses.

He's awake when he hits the ground, and within moments, is doubled over, clutching his stomach. Within a minute, he's audibly suppressing gagging noises.

Good afternoon, Luceti. Josh is getting hit with Shibuya withdrawal. ]

[ Okay that wasn't expected, but Josh isn't exactly complaining. And hey, it seems like that's helping. Maybe. ]

[ He gives a chuckle that's some combination of forced and just plain tired. ] I wasn't planning otherwise.

[ But he's afraid. He doesn't know what this is, and he doesn't trust at all the one person who might know. And he doesn't have any idea how long it'll last. ]

Didn't think you would, but it felt like the thing to say. Do you think you could walk at all?

['Cause there's no telling how long this will last and it's probably not a good idea to stay out in the open like this.]

Maybe. [ But lying here on the ground curled up into a ball feels kind of nice. In that "clutching his stomach makes it feel less like throwing up" sort of way. ]

[Okay okay, he'll let you lay there a little while longer. But if it gets bad he's going and getting Mr. H. :| For now Neku is just going to keep rubbing Joshua's back.]

[ Well, he's not gagging at the moment. This is probably a good sign. ]

[Well, Neku's taking it as a good sign. He's just going to pull his hand away now and give Josh some room.]

[ Yeah, lying here is really nice, even when you ignore the fact that Josh can't pull himself to his feet. His eyes slide shut, and he's almost about to doze off from exhaustion when...

Okay wretching again. This is Not Fun. ]

[...all right, that's it. Sorry Joshua but Neku is going to have to go against your wishes. He's standing back up now.]

Damnit, you can't just stay like this. I'll be right back, okay?

[ Joshua instantly looks up at him. ] Neku-! [ But he cuts himself off with the unhappy noises. ]

[There's a little bit of hesitation here, but Neku quickly ignores it and takes off, running as fast as he can towards the café to get Mr. H. Joshua can be angry or whatever at him later, right now he needs help.]

[ Oh, he will be angry. Just not right now. Right now he's in a bit too much discomfort. Not not mention pain. ]

[At least the café isn't too far away, and with Neku running it probably only takes a few minutes for him to get there. Once Neku does reach the café you can bet he'll be barging through the door if it's open/unlocked. PLEASE BE HERE MR. H.]

[ Hanekoma never locks his door; it's not like he has anything worth stealing, and he can sense whenever someone is there. He's just chilling out at the counter with a mug of coffee and his journal, and looks up sharply when Neku comes crashing in. ]

Phones--?

[Neku forces himself to stop once he's through the door. Man, he's never ran that fast before. You can tell he's a little panicked here when he looks over at Mr. H, but he's out of breath and can barely get the words out.]

Joshua... huff. Something's wrong.

[ And Hanekoma's on his feet in an instant, already making for the door. ]

Minamimoto got him?

[He takes a few deep breaths first, okay now he can talk better. His voice is kinda rushed though.]

No, I don't think so. I found him on the ground and he said he doesn't know what it is but he's in pain and—you gotta help him.

[ He slows to a stop in the doorway, wavering. ]

... he won't want me there. If he's hurting. Might just make things worse.

[ But before that last sentence is even finished, he's clearly made up his mind, gesturing for Neku to head back outside with a low aggravated noise. ]

[Neku was already feeling guilty for getting Mr. H, and now it just made it worse, but he sucks it up for now and heads back outside, leading the way back to Joshua.]

Glad you did. He's mad at me, is all. It's not that I can't actually help the guy.

[ He's walking fast, voice clipped. No, he feels that Josh isn't mad so much as he is afraid, but that's not something he would want told to Neku, so Mr. H doesn't say it. ]
