Game 013 [Voice/Action] - "Triumphant" Return

[ The feed cuts in to the sound of coughing, and a very soft ] dammit [ before Joshua speaks into the journal, his voice somewhat hoarse and higher-pitched than usual. ]

Hanekoma, come get me. [ Mostly he just sounds exhausted. ]

[ Josh is sitting against a tree on the edge of the forest, staring at the mountains off in the distance, his journal in his lap. He looks younger... 10, maybe 12 at the oldest. He's covered in burn marks and bruises, and his clothes are completely ruffled and smattered with blood stains, not to mention a bit oversized due to him not being his usual stature. There's blood-stained bandages on his arms, and more hidden beneath his clothes. In other words, he's in bad shape.

Not to mention shivering. It's cold and snowing, and he's not dressed for the weather. ]

Curious and interested are different things. I don't like men, Josh.

[ Which does not explain the reaction Joshua is getting from him right now, but damned if he'll so much as acknowledge that. ]

Are you sure about that? [ Just gonna snuggle a little deeper into his lap, and why yes he's now pressed right against a certain portion of Sanae's anatomy. Also, hello, there's a wing right by his hand, Josh will gently stroke a finger up that. ]

[ Hanekoma clenches his teeth against a sound he doesn't want to make, and that energy to his skin spikes again, tuned too high to be compatible with wounded Composers and their need for power boosts. He arches a little, involuntarily, against that hand on his feathers -- it feels strange, too-light and teasing, and it makes the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. This? Is a warning tone. ]

Joshua.

[ And Joshua startles, winces, draws his arms back like he's been burned, because he kind of has. It's a few moments before the remaining traces of power stop tingling on his skin, and while he looks up to match Hanekoma's gaze, he doesn't do anything to get close again. ]

Sanae?

[ He stays put, expression forced casual while he sorts things out. He shouldn't be... tempted, or interested, or even mildly affected by all this. But he is. And he doesn't like that. ]

Not tonight.

[ He seems to consider a moment. ]

Some other night?

[ This should not be getting a reaction out of him. He should be a good deal more uncomfortable about situation than this. The whole thing edges his vibe a bit higher, that thrum of energy threatening to rise back to painful levels. ]

Hopefully not.

[ That's heartfelt, at least. ]

You just keep tellin' yourself that, though, if it'll get you outta my lap.

But Sanae, you know I always press [ With a definite grind in his lap ] my advantages while I have them. If you don't promise me, how am I to know if I'll ever be presented with another opportunity? [ He giggles and leans as close as he dares, just enough to start feeling the edge of the power coming off his bare skin. ]

[ Yeah, that draws a noise from him, just a short little pleased-startled sound low in his throat. This voice is definitely a bit tighter than usual, strained: ]

Advantage? You'd pass out inside of five minutes. I'm not promising anything.

I could last longer than that. [ That's definitely a challenge. ]

Not. Tonight.

Why not tonight?

You're bleeding and barely conscious, Phones could show back up at any time, and I'm not interested.

I have enough strength to manage, if Neku comes back it'll be his own fault, and you're more interested than you want to admit. [ He tilts his head a little and giggles. ]

[ The power to him is finally settling down -- that grind certainly didn't help -- and Hanekoma just shifts a little under Joshua, not bothering with arguments to all those. ]

Not tonight. You want to heal those wounds or what, Josh?

I'm willing to postpone it if I get what I want.

Too bad I'm not gonna give you what you want, huh?

[ Mind is definitely made up, there. ]

Now get outta my lap.

Well, we won't know unless I keep trying, hmm? [ Another grind, this one a tad more aggressive. ]

[ That gets a short little frustrated groan, a new power spike, and a hand pressing on Josh's shoulder to steadily push the guy away. ]

Any further and I'll knock you out myself, Josh.

[ His eyes narrow, and there's a finalty to his tone, but he doesn't have much strength to oppose Sanae's movements. ]

You wouldn't.

[ Sanae drops that hand after a moment and lets his vibe dip a bit, hoping the worst is over. New subject! Right? ]

Oh, I might. You're gonna kill yourself this way, Joshua. And you're pushing it.

Oh, please. I know myself well enough to keep enough energy in reserve. [ But he's trying to push back against Sanae. ]

[ Should've known Josh wouldn't give up that easily. He lets himself be pressed onto his back, but there's a bit of a growl to these words-- ]

Last warning. Don't push it.

[ Joshua flashes a smirk and gives a low hum before leaning in, going back to nuzzling Sanae's neck, one hand dropping to rest against his hip. ]

[ Well, he did warn him. And now Sanae's tired of this.

He tries to shift away from Josh, and when that doesn't work, he lashes out; jacks his vibe way the hell up and swings for the back of the Composer's head, fingers glowing. ]
